Last Minute Adoption in Vegas
Last Minute Adoption in Las Vegas
It’s not uncommon to decide late in one’s pregnancy to place a child up for adoption. As a birth mother, you’re likely to change your mind about whether you want to raise a child during your pregnancy. That’s okay. You can still go through a last-minute adoption because it’s not too different from a regular adoption. Whether you’re nine months into your pregnancy or have already given birth doesn’t matter. We can offer our services.
The first thing you need to do is contact a hospital social worker or adoption counselor. They’ll help walk you through the adoption process and answer any questions you have along the way. After you’ve made contact, you’ll be allowed to choose an adoptive family for your child. Of course, this is entirely optional, though choosing the family can offer you emotional security and ease any fears about your child.
Once you’ve chosen an adoptive family, you need to decide on your contact level with them. There are three types of adoption, each with a different level of contact. Most mothers opt for an open adoption to stay in touch with the adoptive family and to keep tabs on their child, though if you’d rather not get involved, you can also choose a closed adoption. In any case, your adoption counselor/hospital social worker will be with you every step of the way to help you get through it all.
