An adoption where the Prospective Adoptive Parent(s) are selected by the Birth Parent(s) based on profiles provided by the Agency. The meetings between the Birth Parent(s) and the Prospective Adoptive Parent(s) are initially facilitated by the Agency Representative. There can be additional meetings and gatherings as long as both parties agree. The exchange of information is open as far as last names, addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, etc.

An adoption where the Prospective Adoptive Parent(s) are selected by the Birth Parent(s) based upon profiles provided by the Agency. Meetings between the Birth Parent(s) and the Prospective Adoptive Parent(s) are facilitated by an Agency Representative, usually the counselor for the Birth Parent(s). Information may be shared between the Birth Parent(s) and the Prospective Adoptive Parent(s) except their respective last names and addresses.
